Yesterday, we highlighted the NFL Power Rankings as told me Sports Illustrated’s Peter King; and needless to say, some questions arose.
Today, ESPN Cleveland columnist Tony Grossi released his own ordering of the NFL’s 32 organizations, and this time, the Steelers check in at No. 2 overall, good for the highest ranking in the AFC.
Behind what Grossi says will be the league’s top scoring offensive unit, the Steelers return every major contributor to a prolific unit while adding a trio of players who could all leave their mark on the offense in Jesse James, Sammie Coates and DeAngelo Williams.
The Steelers should be in contention for a Super Bowl berth, but will face fierce competition from intra-divisional foes Baltimore (No 5. in Grossi’s rankings) and Cincinnati (No. 14) as well as the vastly improved units of Indianapolis (No. 4) and Buffalo (No. 13).
